There are a variety of reasons as to why this health problem receives more media attention. One of the reasons is that the adolescent population is greater than that of other members of the society. Therefore, this social group is more vulnerable hence the media attention directed towards it.The emphasis of sexually transmitted diseases amongst adolescents is justified because this social group is very important for the welfare of any nation.
